NontemplatedNucleotide Additions Distinguish the Small RNA Composition in Cells from Exosomes

1、3' endadenylation increases the probability for retention in cells, and this probability increases proportionally with the number of added A's.

2、3'-end uridylatedmiRNA isoforms are overrepresented in exosomes

3、NTA modifications act as a small RNA sorting signal beyond the class of miRNAs, also found in Y RNAs.

4、Enrichment of 3' uridylated miRNAs in exosomes may thus be explained by preferentialrelease or could be due to a high turnover incells compared to exosomes.
